- Voluntary Work
Lewes has a community-owned football club, the Rooks, which has a number of men’s and women’s teams. The men’s first team plays in the Ryman League and their games are usually well-attended by locals and visitors. The ‘Dripping Pan’ stadium has a café and a bar, the latter of which is run by volunteers. As a Club Owner, I volunteer behind the bar throughout the season. The club continues to go from strength to strength within the community and recently raised funds to create an all-weather practice pitch, while in the bar, we have recently had a fixed bottle opener installed. I am proud to be part of the Club’s success.
